Gli anni sono passati velocemente e mi sembra ieri che era una bambina allegra e già dall'animo gentile.
Ho creato un album delicato e romantico come lei, non da bambina e quasi da donna. Potrà inserirvi a poco a poco le foto di momenti importanti della sua vita e spero che la accompagni lungo la sua strada.
Nel prossimo post vedrete il biglietto d'auguri.
I created this album for one of my nieces, a mature responsible girl. She is very beautiful and she loves studying.
Years have gone by so quickly and it seems just yesterday when she was a joyful child and she already had a gentle soul. I created for her a delicate and romantic album, just as she is, not childish and nearly for a woman. She will put little by little inside of it the photos of important moments of her life and I hope it will accompany her along her way.

L'album è composto da sedici pagine che formano otto tasche. Dentro ogni tasca c'è un altro cartoncino su cui potrà incollare delle foto. Su ogni lato di questi fogli c'è un timbro che lo decora.
The album is made of sixteen pages that form eight pockets. Inside of each pocket there's a square cardstock on which she can glue some photos. On each cardstock there's is a stamped decoration.

Ho creato anche una libellula grande, ma non l'ho incollata. Mia nipote potrà metterla dove vuole, anche nella sua camera. Questa libellula è libera di volare.
I created also a big dragonfly, but I didn't glue it. My niece can put it where she prefers, even in her bedroom. This dragonfly is free to fly.
Se ho messo tutte queste libellule nell'album c'è un motivo. La libellula è il simbolo del pensiero libero, della maturità, ma anche del sogno e del contatto con le persone che amiamo e che sono in un altro mondo. È il simbolo dei cambiamenti che sperimentiamo nella vita e della nostra identità. Della nostra capacità di vedere oltre i limiti umani. Ho trovato delle informazioni molto interessanti in rete e in particolare qui. Sono questi i motivi che mi hanno spinta a regalare a mia nipote una libellula.
Ma c'è anche un altro motivo, più concreto. Quando era piccolina le piaceva guardare "Il segno della libellula", con Kevin Costner. Certo, non un film per bambini, però bellissimo.
There's a reason why I put all these dragonflies in this album. The dragonfly is the symbol of free thought, of maturity, but also of dream and contact with people we love and who are not anymore in this world. It is the symbol of how we change during life and of one's own identity. Of our ability to see beyond human limits. I found many interesting information in the web and especially here. These are the reasons why I decided to give my niece a dragonfly.
But there's another reason too. When she was alittle girl she loved watching "Dragonfly", by Kevin Costner. Well it's not a movie for children, but it is amazing.
Per fare questo fiore e le farfalline ho usato i pennarelli acquerellabili, ho creato delle sfumature e poi li ho fustellati.
To make this flower and the tiny butterflies I used water markers, I created some shades and then I die cut them.
Ho usato lo stesso metodo per le libellule, ma ho aggiunto anche le Perfect Pearls per farle brillare.
I used the same method to make the dragonflies, but I also added Perfect Pearls to make them shine.
Fare tutti questi fiori è stato molto divertente!
