Buongiorno, creative!
Good morning, crafters!
Today I'm showing you a project I have been working at in the last weeks to give little gifts to friends and colleagues. A couple of months ago I bought a great die to make little boxes and I also took from my drawer a dies set I bought last year and I had not used yet!
I created more than twenty boxes and I put in each of them some little chocolate eggs of my favourite brand.
The photos are not so good because when I took them the weather was bad and there was not enough sunlight.
Qui potete vedere come le ho realizzate.
Here you can see how I made them.
I die cut some eggs with my smallest egg-dies. I cut a colored/patterned egg and a white egg. On the white one I wrote 'Happy Easter' with the same colour.
As you can see the eggs are almost completely monochromatic. Look at the box below. Everything is orange: the box, the flower, the bigger egg, the metal eyelet and the Pirkka paper wire.
I also used orange ink pad to distress the edges of the box, of the flower, of the white circle and of the white egg. And I wrote my wishes with an orange marker.
Maybe you have noticed I always use a lot of tiny flowers like these ones. I punch them from smallest scraps. I don't throw away anything! When I have a little of time I punch from little pieces of cardstock, felt and foam some tiny flowers, hearts, snowflakes or leaves that I keep in separated boxes. When I need them, I always have some of the stuff ready, just to put together. In this case, for example, these flowers had all their parts already put together: the edges were already inked, the two parts of the flowers were already glued together and there was already the small diamond in the centre. So I saved a lot of time.
I advise you to do the same. Even if you have only ten minutes a day and you keep at your hand your scraps and a couple of punches, little by little you can pile up pieces that will be very useful to you someday!
